Cycle Rides in Shropshire

Shropshire cyclist Dave Hancock has compiled this selection of 20 cycle rides of varying lengths, graded from easy rides for families for day-long trips for the more energetic. Highlights of the rides include: the miniature Lakeland of meres and mosses around Ellesmere - with otters, dormice, hares, bats, dragonflies and waterfowl; hillforts from the Iron Age; Offa's Dyke, the longest archaeological monument in Britain, built by King Offa in the 8th century; Whittington, famed for its Dick Whittington connects and its castle, now owned and run by the village; Bishop's Castle with its Real Ale trail, and much more!
