Through the superb photographs in this book we are taken Sky High along the coast of South Cornwall, starting at Land's End and heading eastwards for around 80 miles or so (130km) to the Devon border. The reader is taken on an aerial journey along the coast, looking down as seabirds do at some of the world’s most beautiful coastline.
The delight of this book is that is offers the reader a chance to see just how varied is the southern coast of Cornwall. From the soaring cliffs around the Lizard, we travel east looking down on sandy coves and hidden tidal creeks and into the heart of the many coastal towns and villages along the way.
These days, the coastline provides the means for thousands to enjoy leisure pursuits. The South West Coast Path follows the cliff edge for most of its route through Cornwall, and golden beaches are thronged in summer months providing safe bathing, in most places, while easy access gives everyone a chance to explore harbourside towns and villages.
