Cycling around Scotland
Stock No: 43704ISBN/EAN: 9781906134570,  Author: Fairweather,  Publisher: Argyll,  Format: PB 224pp
A light-hearted account of the joys and trials of cycling alone around the coast of Scotland. The journey, on a mountain bike, follows the roads and tracks nearest to the shoreline, from the cycle paths of East Lothian to the trail around the western edge of Knoydart. At some points, near Gairloch and Cape Wrath, the tracks disappear altogether, or are lost, whilst tarmac and heavy lorries pervade the cycling experience on some of the busy roads in the north east of the country. The circuit is completed by travels through the Borders along sections of the Tweed Cycleway and up onto the ‘road to nowhere’ across the Cheviot hills.
